It doesn't matter how you spell it:  dichotomy, quandary, conundrum, or dilemma--it all means the same thing="We don't ever want to leave our mission and yet we can't wait to see the grandkids--all 28 of them!!!"

Our YSA activity, haven't played in years, it was fun, but couldn't move as fast as I used too and the boys around me assumed I couldn't get the ball, so they were always jumping in front of me. I showed them. Ha! Ha! (Sister Center)
(Elder Center- Sweetheart--You look and play just like you did at Ricks College just a "few" years ago!)

Now I dearly love and adore my sweet wife. And I do so appreciate the YSAs when they compliment her and thank her for the delicious treats she makes. And I certainly know how diligently she searches for new tasty recipes, how carefully she goes from store to store shopping sales to stay within the Institute's budget, how hard she works making the treats, and serving them, and cleaning up afterwards. BUT.... Who do you think has to sample each and every batch oh her baking? And who carries the pans of treats from our kitchen apartment to the car and from the car into the Institute? That's right--ME!!! Seems like I should get an "atta-boy" from time to time!!!

ANNOUNCEMENT

We were supposed to be released from our mission on March 15, however, we have requested and received permission to extend it for 3 ½ weeks until April 9th. The Spring semester Institute classes aren't over until then and we felt it would be a disservice to our students and to the missionary couple who will be replacing us to have us leave so near the end of the courses. We will be stopping and doing some visiting on the way home so we only know that we'll arrive back in Littleton between April 13th-19th.

Tonight we had the privilege, since we work with the Young Single Adults, of attending a special fireside for YSAs from ten stakes with the guest speaker being Apostle Renlund.  His humor and common-sense advice simply added to the spirituality of the meeting.  The whole two hours was devoted to answering questions from the young people--some were pretty tough, some very interesting,  It was awesome!  (One side note:  Sister Center and I were fortunate enough to be sitting in the row he walked down.  So we all stood up as he and his wife stopped to shake hands with each of us.  Seeing Sister Center's missionary badge, he asked the normal question, "Where are you serving from?"  Now I would have answered, Littleton, Colorado or Denver.  Not so Loralee.  When shaking her hand and asking where she was serving from, she not so calmly replied, "Ah--er--oh--wa--um--huh!"  Not nervous were you dear!  He did thank her for her service and when I told him how much we loved serving the YSAs, he said, "They keep you young don't they?")

"Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway."     I'm sure Elvis is rolling  over in his grave at my tone-deaf  karaoke performance of "Are You Lonesome Tonight" at our Institute party!!!   (Thankfully, only the picture and no sound was recorded.)
